I make a living partially by public speaking. I wish I always said the right thing. Sometimes God gives me just the right words and people are blessed with insight and some godly truth. Other times, not so much. My hope is that I can express the right thoughts through words at those moments people come to their pastor with trials, heartache, and difficulty. How great would it be if all our words were exactly what is needed in every situation? May God help us!
Like apples of gold in settings of silver,
Is a word spoken at the proper time.
Like an earring of gold and a jewelry piece of fine gold,
Is a wise person who offers rebukes to a listening ear.
Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest
Is a faithful messenger to those who send him,
For he refreshes the soul of his masters.
Like clouds and wind without rain
Is a person who boasts of his gifts falsely.
Through patience a ruler may be persuaded,
And a gentle tongue breaks bone Proverbs 25:11-15
What is my source of inspiration, emotion, and understanding? What is in my heart that will overflow and become words?
God, as this day begins, its my lovely wife’s birthday! I pray it will be wonderful and special for her. What a blessing she is to me and so many. Use all my words today. May I be an oracle of Yours.
