King Solomon wrote “a good name is better than fine perfume”. I agree. I love it when churches are filled with people living out their faith day by day. Over time, the news of their faith in God spreads and God receives the glory. Could you imagine if there was no reason for anyone to say anything negative about a church? Wow! Now, that’s what was happening with the church in Thessaloniki. They had earned a good reputation.
For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything. 1 Thessalonians 1:8
What kind of reputation am I earning? Am I sharing the glory with God?
God, as this day begins- I have some unfulfilled promises to deliver upon. Help me work in a way pleasing to You. Thank you for another day to bring glory to your name. Please answer the myriad of prayers of Your people.
