A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight. Proverbs 11:1
Like a gateway to the rest of the truth in Proverbs 11, we are confronted with the simplest of statements. God loves when we deal with each other honestly. If we can do it in the marketplace, we can do it the church. I wonder how many Christians live dual lives, one when they are with believers in a church setting, and a completely different one, when at work or school.
Am I the same, no matter what? I think so. I am not trying to put on a show or pretend to be anyone I am not. How funny, for some the ‘false balance’ is that they are not the same to everyone they know.
God how freeing it is to be one person, and one alone, the same in every situation. Please help me deal honestly with all I encounter, no matter when or where. I want to treat others fairly and not take advantage of anyone.
