For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will gather you.
In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, but with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you, says the Lord your Redeemer. Isaiah 54:8
There was a season that God’s people felt forsaken and abandoned by God. He understood, and through Isaiah, God reminds them that He has a great compassion and everlasting love for them. The same is true for us. Even if I feel distant from Him, I can trust that He wants to redeem my life (buy it back) and reveal His face again.
How close to God do I feel right now? Do I sense His compassing and love? Is there any sin that has separated us?
God, please continue to work in my life, leading me, guiding me and showing me what You desire. I do sense your love and compassion in a hundred ways. Thank you for redeeming my life over and over again. Give me grace and favor with people today and success in completing projects.
