How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,

Being in the right place can make a big difference in who I become. Show me your friends and I will show you your future. The Psalmist says that those who give me counsel will influence my life. And if I surround myself with sinners and scoffers it will affect my attitude. If God’s Word becomes the focus of my thought life and the delight of my heart, I will be blessed, productive and prosperous.
Who is speaking into my life? What patterns have I set in my life that allow me to delight in God’s Word?
God, on this Saturday that we help Kai and Kasey move, I pray we will enjoy one another’s company and Your Word will give us all we need. Thank you for each family member. I feel blessed. May You be the first counselor I seek.
