Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Galatians 6:9-10
God calls us to live out our faith by doing good. Its more an expression of who we have become than a duty to perform. But sometimes we can become tired or weary or unmotivated. Paul reminds us that a reward is waiting just as it is for the farmer who plants and cultivates his crops. One last thing, there is a priority or preference for our service… those who are fellow believers.
How is my energy for good right now? Pretty high. I feel energized, motivated and directed.
Lord Jesus, when I read about your earthly ministry I am amazed that you fulfill this in every way. Early mornings and late nights in prayer seemed to propel you through the day from one ministry situation to another. Thank you for the energy You supply and the white-hot vision that drives my passion.
