There has been a lot of speculation about the number of the beast. Whatever the mark of the beast and associated number will be, one thing is certain. The number 666 speaks about the inadequacy of man. The number seven in the Bible denotes completeness and perfection. Six is a number representing incompleteness and lack of perfection. Man is woefully incomplete without God. He is incomplete, incomplete, incomplete.
What about me? How have I addressed the incompleteness and sin in my life? I have fallen upon God’s grace and received forgiveness for my sins, healing for my hurts, and allowed God to make me alive and new and… yes, complete in Him.
God, what a great reminder of how much I need You. While I am but a man, 666… you are making me complete in Jesus Christ as you transform my character, my thinking and feelings. When I am in Your presence, I will be 777.
