For if the ministry of condemnation has glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory.
For indeed what had glory, in this case has no glory because of the glory that surpasses it.

The holy law of God was delivered through Moses. It was summarized in the ten commandments. As glorious as it is, it was a placeholder for the law of the Spirit that would be written on our hearts, the gospel of Jesus Christ. The law pales in comparison to the glory of the gospel and person of Jesus Christ. Now His Spirit leads and guides believers from the inside, not correcting our behavior from the outside. If we are still trying to live to the letter of the law, its time we stopped and let the Spirit of God lead us forward to an even higher and more glorious life.
Is the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus shining in my life? I am forgiven and right before God, not based on keeping the law, but by grace?
God, as this day begins, may You influence my thoughts and actions. Thank you that there is a great freedom in the life You give. May I be available and attentive to the needs of others and love them well in Your name. I invite You, Holy Spirit to fill my life.
