If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:18-21
Paul describes how God has given us all gifts to be used in the body of Christ for the benefit of others. Then he shows us how to relate to one another in a loving way that is without hypocrisy. He says, try to be at peace with all men. Don’t go for revenge, but rather proactively respond to mistreatment with blessings. That sounds a whole lot like Jesus’ teaching.

God, as this week continues with work and ministry, I pray You would lead and guide me today. I pray for my friend Larry who lost his mom. Please comfort him and speak to him in ways that help him deal with the loss. I have a few projects that need to move forward, help me with wisdom and people who are knowledgeable and skilled.
