Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Daniel 12:1
In a marvelous and fascinating vision Daniel sees the future kingdoms of the world around him, unfold… all the way to the end of time. The last days are marked by distress unknown by past generations. Israel is at the center of it all. And the encouraging words in the midst of all the chaos are these “everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued”. Apparently, God keeps a book with the names of believers… those who have placed their faith in Him through Jesus Christ. What a relief to me as I face challenges and distress. God knows how to rescue His own! Wow.
Has God placed angels around me for protection and edification? What distress is too much for me? How might God rescue me?
God, I thank You that my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. As this day begins with so much ahead, oh I need You. Please send, even as You do each day, those who could be activated into service within Your kingdom. Teach me again to rely upon You and Your people. I try to carry too much on my own. I love You. Again, please minister to my friends who have lost loved ones. I am asking for comfort beyond understanding for Mary, Barry, and Bob. May they take solace in knowing that Earl, Gay and Patsy’s names are written in the book!
