What’s Life All About?

Hosted by

Knowing God and exchanging love is what life is all about! I am tempted to write more, but would rather just think about that profound idea.

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name’s sake. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I have written to you, children, because you know the Father.  I have written to you, fathers, because you know Him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 1 John 2:12-14 NASB

God, when I first came to you, I was overjoyed that my sins are forgiven. I still am. But, then I found myself engaging with You in the great cosmic battle between light and darkness, that which is of God and that of the world. As a young man, I was allowing my life to be purged of sin and evil, shaped, transformed by my thinking, into someone useful in Your kingdom. I studied your Word and let it have its way in me. Now, much older… I feel I’ve come to know You. I anticipate Your working (though often amazed, never really predictable), I have tried to start my day with You and continue in conversation through till the night. I have not arrived. I am still a man in need of a Savior, but I am somewhat of a father in the faith. May I help others become children of God!
