Time Flies

As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years,
Or if due to strength, eighty years,
Yet their pride is but labor and sorrow;
For soon it is gone and we fly away.
Who understands the power of Your anger and Your fury, according to the fear that is due You?
So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:10-12

Time flies. I realize that every time I officiate a memorial service with a family who has lost a loved one. Seventy, maybe eighty years seem about what we have on this side of eternity. I hope to be someone who does what God puts on my heart, not regretting late in life that I never tried. Certainly there are many failures in my past and unrealized dreams. But, with the grace of God and support of a loving family, I am pursuing that for which I was made. And when these days are done, I will present to God a heart of wisdom.

What has God placed in my heart and mind to do, to become, to pursue?

God, thank you for speaking and placing dreams and visions within my heart and mind. And thank you that his journey of mine is accompanied by my lovely wife, family and sweet friends. See You soon.
