The Normal Christian Life: Miraculous!

It has been the testimony of Christians for 2000 years that they “hear from God”. Maybe its not an audible voice, but I would attest that God does lead and guide me. He gives me thoughts above and beyond my own. He moves my emotions and passions. He imparts dreams that inform me and warn me. He speaks today and I receive answers to my prayers. I don’t say that to brag or boast, I believe its common to those who seek Him and have been granted access to God the Father through the saving work of His Son, Jesus. When the disciples (the big group beyond the 12), returned from ministry in nearby cities they had experienced miracles and power and victory. They too experienced the normal Christian life, which is not normal at all. Its supernatural! And its a available to the simplest of us, the poorest of us, and the least connected or promoted. Thank God!

Turning to the disciples, He said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see the things you see; for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see the things that you see, and did not see them, and to hear the things that you hear, and did not hear them. Luke 10:23-24 NASB

What have I seen and heard from God lately? What is He saying to me today?

God, as this day begins- what a privilege it is to ‘know’ You and to sense Your leading and guiding each day. Would You prepare me, even as You have prepared the works that I should walk in. May I hear and see You at work around me, in me, and through me. And at the end of the day, I simply desire to have glorified You. Let’s do something miraculous- because that’s the normal Christian life.
