Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead, the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21
We were saved and became alive to God so that He then could equip us to do His will. All of this pleases Him and gives Him glory. I love how the first 12 chapters of Hebrews reminds us that Jesus is categorically different from anyone else. He is the unique, only begotten Son of God. He is higher than angels, Moses and any high priest. He is God the Son, come in the flesh. He is the creator of the world.
Am I ready and equipped with every good thing God has to offer? Am I doing His will and am I pleasing in his sight?
God, how wonderful it is to be loved and saved. I am Your sheep, You are my Shepherd.
