Have you ever said, Thank God it’s Friday! I have. These days, Thursday is my Friday, because that’s the day that marks the start to the weekend for me. Want to know what’s better than Friday? Sunday!!! Why? Its church day and the day commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. Its the first day and best way to start a brand new week. When the disciples found the tomb empty they were first perplexed, but soon overwhelmed with joy! I hope your life is the same… as you consider that Jesus overcame death itself, you may be confused, doubtful, or perplexed… may that soon be the joy of your life, as it is mine.
But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in gleaming clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why are you seeking the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen. Luke 24:1-5 NASB

God, as this day continues- I thank you that its Friday. But, even more, I look forward to Sunday!
