Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:11-13

When God’s people came out of Egypt, they traded on form of slavery for another. They found themselves in the wilderness wandering because they were craving evil, idolatry, immorality, trying the Lord, and grumbling. God was not pleased. And He takes no pleasure in these today. The good news is that any of us can escape these temptations. We must guard against pride and humbly look for God’s way out.

Am I person who can learn from history? Or do I have to learn from my own mistakes?

God, You are gracious. Thank you for providing such a rich history for our sake. I pray You will continue to lead and guide me. I do ask that tomorrow I might hear the answer to the prayer request I have for our school.
