The wise woman builds her house,
But the foolish tears it down with her own hands.
He who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord,
But he who is devious in his ways despises Him.
In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for his back,
But the lips of the wise will protect them.
Where no oxen are, the manger is clean,

A woman can do a lot to influence her family, both positively or negatively. A man who is devious reveals that he despises the Lord. What we say can get us into trouble or out of trouble. Ministry is messy. Today, I am thinking about the idea that ‘where there is not oxen, the stable or manger is clean’. You can sterilize your life from the complexity of other people in need and have it looking like its all together. But are you getting anything done for the sake of the kingdom?
How wise and upright am I? Do I allow God to mess up my world a bit, to engage in building His kingdom?
God, thank you for the invitation to join You in messy ministry. Sometimes helping others interrupts my plans. But, with You there is always an eternal result. I pray for my friends on the Power Ministry mission trip today. Use them in powerful ways to show Your love and care to people on the Mexico-Texas border. Work through my life today.
