People have asked me how to present the Man of God Challenge Coins.
Here is the narrative.
The purpose of giving a Man of God Challenge Coin is to recognize men as examples of Jesus Christ and their ongoing fulfillment of their ministry and mission.
Paul told his disciple Timothy the following “For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well. For this reason, I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”
Men rarely take significant steps of spiritual growth alone. We need another man or a team of men to cheer us on, or challenge us on. That’s why the coin is presented by someone who knows you and is committed to your Spiritual development.
The first side of the coin says: “I am becoming an example of Jesus Christ in all of my God-given roles and responsibilities”. Our roles and responsibilities are the basis of every relationship. The Bible verse reads “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” Mark 12:30 . The most important relationship in life is with God, our heavenly Father.

The presenter of a challenge coin shares the Purpose described above with the man he wants to honor. It’s ideal if that man’s family can be present.
Then, he says (in less than two minutes) how the recipient…
1) Exemplifies Jesus Christ in their roles, responsibilities, and relationships.
2) Is fulfilling their God-given ministry and mission.
Then he places the coin in his own hand. As he extends his hand toward the recipient. They clasp hand in a handshake fashion.
The receiver’s hand opens with the coin representing that we approach life and ministry as a team. This side of the coin says: “I am fulfilling my God given Ministry and Mission with a Passionate Commitment to Jesus Christ, His Cause and His Community”.
The ceremony concludes with this challenge: “Now, you Man of God, fulfill your ministry”!
