I love learning something new every day. So does my grandson. Yepper yepper- he says (as he sits next to me today). Thinking of oneself as the “smartest person in the room” lead to conceit and arrogance which compete with love. Sharing knowledge is a way to bless someone, but always with the goal to build them up not our ego. This mutual exchange is what love is all about.
Now concerning food sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes one conceited, but love edifies people. If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know; but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him. 1 Corinthians 8:1-3 NASB
Who am I helping grow in their faith and ministry? Do I tend to “hold on” to knowledge so I look better than others?
God, as this day begins- I love imparting knowledge to my wonderful grandchildren and seeing them become more and more the person God wants them to be. May that same aim and attitude be in me as I share with others too. I want to be a life-long learner. Thank you for my four and a half grandcuties!
