Is There a Limit To Love?

But we don’t need to write to you about the importance of loving each other, for God himself has taught you to love one another. Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more. 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10

How much love can a single human express in a day, a week, a lifetime? The apostle Paul wrote to the very loving community in Thessaloniki that their was still more love to express. Is there no limit to love? Well, if God is love… and the love we share with other believers, comes from Him. And He is infinite. We can simply let God love us and love others through us. The infinite supply will never run out. So, let us love one another without reservation, believing in faith, that God will replace and depleted supply. But, you say… I need to save energy for evangelism! Hmmm, Jesus said “they” (unbelievers) will know we are Christians by our love. Be a witness to the world through the testimony of love. Love is what really matters. Sometimes you spell love T, i, m, e,… be prayerful about how you spend it.

How am I expressing the love of God? Am I bottling it all up as I receive it? Or am I like a river of God’s love- flowing in me and through me?

God, as this day begins- I thank you for the phone call from my friend Rowdy. Sustain him emotionally and physically as he endure the chemo treatment. Lord, bless little Ella Roberts with joy and endurance as her little body recovers from Leukemia treatments. Show me how to support both of these families. My answer is Yes, ahead of time to whatever You say. Now, may my own sweetheart Kennedy-bear have a lovely 3 year old birthday party. And, I pray Kaenan’s birthday celebration tonight reminds him how much he is appreciated. Thank you for both of them.
