God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:1-3
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The writer of Hebrews affirms that He is the creator of the world, heir of all things and his coming was predicted by the prophets of God. When we look at the manger scene we see more than a baby, we sing the king of the universe who took on flesh and dwelt among us. Amazing! God got into the ant farm that He Himself made, putting Himself into a lesser dimension to relate to us and save us. Pleased as man, with men to dwell, Jesus our Emmanuel.
Am I taking on the representation of His nature day by day?
God, on this day of corporate worship, may Jesus be the center of it all. May I worship Him just as the magi did so long ago, recognizing He is God in a bod.
