How long will you lie there, you sluggard?

I love work, I could watch people do it all day. Lol. Actually I do love working, creating, and cultivating. I always have. That’s a tribute to my parents. I have been fortunate that it seems God has given me a “go get it” attitude and laziness is not a huge part of my life. Poverty is not always the result of a lack of initiative, but it can be. And poverty is cruel, like a thief and armed man. The gospel of Jesus Christ offers the inward motivation for overcoming laziness because it gives us a great and eternal purpose for which to work.
Is there any area of my life in which I am not initiating what God wants?
Lord, You are good. I know I am not justified by the things I do, but by Your grace. I do feel a wonderful inward motivation, day by day, to make a difference, to work, and to create. Thank you for that. I can’t imagine what it will be like in eternity, knowing all of my purposes.
