Happy Thanksgiving! What are your plans and traditions? One year, I remember spending Thanksgiving in Utah skiing. When dinner time came around, me and couple friends ate at a restaurant. Not what I have come to really appreciate. So, today- like most years I gather with friends, family, grandchildren (Yea!) and two giant turkeys, two hams, all the fixin’s, world famous (not yet) chocolate bars and some fun games and football on tv. Mostly, I will spend the day saying Thank You to God for His provision, protection, and patience.
Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17 NASB
Am I doing all for the glory of God? Do I recognize all I am and have has come from Him?
God, as this day begins- I am thankful, joyful, happy and blessed to know You, the only true God… the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of all comfort and the God of Israel and the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. I behold my lovely wife, children, grandchildren and friends and say “Thank You” 100x over.
