But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also. 2 Corinthians 8:7
The Corinthian church was generous and desired to support struggling Christians with a love offering and financial gift. Paul reminds us that as we grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, we ought to also excel in the area of giving and generosity. What a wonderful acknowledgement of the importance of becoming like Jesus in this way.
Where is my generosity being expressed?
God, thank you for being so generous to me. Help me steward the money in my control well an for eternal purposes, more and more. I am so glad there is a joy that comes from giving.
