God Sees The Suffering Of His Children

God knowsFor this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes. Revelation 7:15-17

The apostle John sees those who lost their lives for Christ’s sake in the great tribulation. They kept their testimony, but lost their life. They are given a special proximity to the throne of God and wonderful care from the Lord Jesus who shepherds them, guides them to the water of life and wipes every tear. What a beautiful picture. God never misses the suffering of His children.

Do I know how much God loves me? Do I live accordingly?

God, You are worthy and full of love. “Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to (You) our God forever and ever. Amen.” For whatever reason, You have appointed relatively little suffering for me. May I enter into the suffering of others today and encourage them. Please be very real and close to the family today at the memorial service.
