What we say can have a positive long-lasting affect on our hearers or it can be rash, sharp, and temporary. What I say will flow from the deceit or truth in my heart. If there is peace and truth, when I speak my hearers will be blessed and I will have joy. Jesus said that from the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.
What in my heart is influencing what I say and how I say it?
God, I want to be one who speaks well. I want my words to bring insight and healing and have a positive eternal effect. As this day begins, please be with me, cleanse my heart, fill it with Your love and righteousness.
