These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful. Revelation 17:14
There is an unseen world and in it rages a cosmic conflict. I know it and can sense it like Neo (in the movie Matrix) said “its like a splinter in my mind”. Its a conflict between all that is God and that which is not. Its a story of rebellion and deception which has fallen over mankind, whom God loves. The defector from God’s kingdom, Satan, has set up an earthly kingdom and man has been born into it.
John, in his glorious vision of the consummation of the ages, sees the end of the cosmic conflict. It has several battles. The Lamb (Jesus) overcomes and is rightly recognized as Lord (maximum authority) over every other so-called authority. He is King over all kings. He is accompanied by those who were called out of the rebellion and world who stand faithfully beside Him. That will be an amazing day. I intend to be on the right side of the conflict and with Jesus. God help me.

God, as this day begins, I am reminded that there is always more going on than meets the eye. Help me understand my role on earth and the spiritual forces at work around. Thank you that You have appointed ministering angels, imparted Your Spirit, and given Your Word as powerful supports in this life. May I rely on them and You. I am aware of the cosmic conflict. I am ready for battle armed with the love of Jesus.
