From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia
My worshipers, My dispersed ones, will bring My offerings.
In that day you will feel no shame because of all your deeds by which you have rebelled against Me;
For then I will remove from your midst Your proud, exulting ones,
And you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain. Zephaniah 3:9-11
The Bible says that we as Christians are ‘co-laborers’ with Christ Jesus. Zephaniah prophesied about a day we would serve God ‘shoulder to shoulder’. God prepares us for this privilege by purifying our lips. Serving God then is an act of worship that removes the feelings of shame or rebellion and puts us in a partnership with Him. There is a sense of holiness and humility whenever we serve the Lord or serve with the Lord.
How do I feel when I am serving God? Do I sense Him being near… even shoulder to shoulder.
What a reminder of the great calling You have on my life Lord. As we work together today, I pray You will do miracles and things beyond anything I could do. Help me with wisdom and love from above. Let’s extend Your holy mountain to this place and this time.
