Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:7-8
I am reading the beatitudes this morning and remembering Mike Breaux’s amazing sermon as he climbed a ladder representing the higher and higher aspects of Jesus calling and promise to each of us who would choose to follow Him. I am not sure I am ready for the higher levels, so today I want to focus on being merciful and pure it heart.
Who needs my mercy? Who needs God’s mercy (beside me)?
