The Purpose Of Prayer

Hosted by

prayerTo this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

What is the ultimate objective of our prayers? Paul told the Thessalonians that he prayed they would be counted worthy of their calling, fulfill the work God called them to and that the name Jesus would be glorified (more fully known). All this is by God’s grace. Praying for those three outcomes gives God plenty of space to work His plan into every situation.

Am I glorifying God and the name of Jesus?

Lord, what desire in me for goodness and a work of faith with power awaits today? Show me and lead in my Your will today. I pray Keanu, Eden, and Maureen will all feel better today. Restore their energy and remove the symptoms of feeling sick so that You will be glorified in them as well.
