Are You ‘Full Of It’?

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another. Romans 15:13-14

Have you ever heard someone say “oh they are ‘full of it'”? They mean they are immature, or not telling the truth, etc. Paul pronounced a blessing upon his readers. In that blessing he said they were ‘full of it’… in a good way. His desire was that God would fill them with joy and peace. These are byproducts of believing and because the Holy Spirit is with us. The maturity of the believers convinced Paul that they were good, knowledgeable and able to admonish each other. How wonderful to see the transforming work of God in His saints. What a confirmation and assurance about the effectiveness of his ministry that must have given him.

How am I being used by God to prepare people for His filling of joy and peace? How full of goodness and knowledge am I?

God, as this day begins, would You direct my steps moment by moment to be a kingdom builder by building up Your saints? I am available. I pray this morning for my mom and her energy level to be high, for her to gain strength and body mass. Comfort Keith’s family in his passing, especially his wife Ruth, son Chris and daughter, Heather.
