I heard about an older adult who was swindled out of a large sum of money. Sadly, a thief had taken advantage of her because she was of a generation that was far more trusting. None of us wants to be taken advantage of. As Christians, the enemy of our soul can take advantage when we are unwillingness to confront sin and when one repents, we fail to forgive. Being too dismissive of sin is an error and so is hard-heartedness or unforgiveness.
But one whom you forgive anything, I also forgive; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did so for your sakes in the presence of Christ, so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes. 2 Corinthians 1:10-11 NASB
Is there anyone or anything I have yet to forgive? How has the enemy used that in his scheme to sow disunity?
God, as this day comes to a close- I am grateful for how You have forgiven me. Your grace has abounded toward me, so I will choose to be a grace dispenser too. I want You to have the advantage in my life.
