Abundance

But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4:18-20

The apostle Paul felt he had an abundance because he was remembered by the Christians in Philippi. They had sent a gift to encourage him in his ministry and it made all the difference. I imagine it was rather small. How nice it is to be remembered in prayer and then to know it by some practical expression of affection. In turn, Paul reminded his generous co-laborers in the gospel that God would supply all their needs according to God’s riches. What sweet way to end such an important letter.

How about me? Who prays for me regularly? Have I appreciated those who support me? Who am I praying for today? Is there a special way to show it practically?

God as this day begins, oh how I am anticipating what You have ahead. Its a day of rest and little chores around the house and whatever else You bring my way. Thank you that I have received everything in abundance!
