Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:7-9
The prince of prophets, Isaiah, continues his beautiful plea on behalf of God ‘return to the Lord’. What a great message for us today. When people are willing to forsake their own unrighteous ways and turn to God, He will have compassion and will abundantly pardon our sin. This doesn’t always make sense to people who want to justify themselves before God… but listen, God’s thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours. We would to better to accept it than explain it.
Are their any unrighteous thoughts or ways that I have in my life right now? Am I willing to hear His thoughts above my own?
What a great day it was yesterday Lord. Today has opportunities and challenges of its own. I see You moving and working mightily. Thank you. May I be an encouragement to co-workers and friends. Please walk with me through this day.
