The other day a couple people gave me gift cards. It was a really thoughtful and generous gesture! My wife said, “why do people give you gift cards?” I said, “because people like me!” Lol. I don’t necessarily deserve gift cards, but I endeavor to relate to others in a humble, others first, servanthood, obedience to God- mindset. That’s what the apostle Paul reminded the believers in Philippi to do. When we related to each other in that way, there is harmony, joy, and love.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5 NASB
What aspect of Christ Jesus’ mindset needs to find its way into my thinking and relationships?
God, as this day begins- I don’t always get it right. I want to relate to people as Christ Jesus would. So, help me begin with a mindset of humility and service, others first, and in obedience to Your Word and will. I pause to pray for the Mate family today as they grieve and celebrate Rodica’s life. Be near to the brokenhearted and use my encouragement to buoy them up.
