Grace Plan

When it comes to my faith, I am on the “grace plan”, not the “keep the law” plan. One plan sets free, the other enslaves. And in a counter-intuitive way, the grace plan produces obedience and spiritual growth. I am not saying we shouldn’t have spiritual disciplines, but any attempt to present ourselves righteous before God is futile,… we are not practically righteous. We are positionally righteous because Jesus met the requirements of the law by living a life without sin, perfectly pleasing to God. Then, He became our propitiation and substitutionary atonement. As a result, we become adopted into God’s forever family- the Church. That’s the plan I am on. You?

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters. Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God. Galatians 4:4-7 NASB

How grateful am I living out the plan God has for me?

God, as this day begins- I look forward to all You have planned within the overarching “grace plan” You have offered. May I be ever grateful for what I have in Christ. May I offer to others the same plan available to them. I am praying for my friend Ubong too. May You be his encouragement and may You effect his soon return home.
