God Uses Cracked Pots

I am fairly aware of my imperfections. If my life were likened to clay pottery… There are “cracks” in my otherwise stellar character (just kidding about being stellar). The fascinating thing is that when my sin, failure and shortcomings are visible, the amazing forgiveness and grace of God shines through. Said another way, my imperfections reveal the goodness of God who has forgiven me and is in the process of filling the cracks with His righteousness. He is changing me. Yes. Its true God uses cracked pots, but He doesn’t necessarily use crackpots. Let’s not be that.

But we have this treasure in earthen containers (clay pots), so that the extraordinary greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves;  2 Corinthians 4:7 NASB

How is God currently working within my life? In what ways is His character now shining in me?

God, as this day begins- I am grateful for Your goodness and the continual sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God in my life. I am praying this morning for some friends whose parents are struggling with significant health problems. Please give them wisdom as they try to decide important issues and honor their parents.
