My wife has often reminded our kids that in life you be in one of three places, coming out of a storm, exiting a storm or in the midst of a storm. Life has trials by God’s design. Jesus led his newbie followers into a storm that scared them to death (even as seasoned fishermen). Has He done that to you? Or perhaps for you… to strengthen your faith!
Now when Jesus saw a crowd around Him, He gave orders to depart to the other side of the sea. When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. And behold, a violent storm developed on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep. And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing!” He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. The men were amazed, and said, “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?” Matthew 8:18, 23-27 NASB
What are the storms of life that are in my past, present and future? How could God reveal Himself in each one?
God, as this day begins- I know lots of friends in financial, physical (health), relational storms and trials. Be very real to them and I this day as we navigate through with Your grace and love on display.
