But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:20
Jude admonishes us to avoid sexual immorality and the judgement of God. Sometimes ungodly people slip into the church and pervert the gospel. They can be spotted because they divide the fellowship, follow natural instincts and the are without the Spirit of God.
We are to focus on building ourselves up in the faith and love of God so that the mercy of God flows into our lives, ultimately leading us to eternal life. Great advice from one of God’s great saints.
How am I building myself up in the faith? Am I searching God’s Word, praying and seeing God respond? Am I eagerly waiting for the mercy of God?
Lord Jesus, today is a brand new day with so many possibilities. Help me see what You are doing, so I might join You.
