He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

I loved singing the psalm back in the 1980s. Over the years I have experienced what king David sang about… that God can supernaturally protect us from the arrows of our enemies, illness, and many traps in life. The crazy thing is that we might see many fall by our side and yet we can approach life with a confidence that He will sustain us. Wow! What a way to live. How nice it is living in the shadow of our all-powerful God. Of course, that means I must remain close enough for His shadow to cover me.
In whom do I trust? How has God been faithful to protect my life?
My trust is in You, O Lord. Thank you for your love, protection and provision in my life. I want to claim the your promise “A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you.” May this season be filled with Your power on display.
