Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46
Jesus likened the kingdom of heaven to a pearl of great price. To some this is a great mystery (after all its a parable). To me, I wholeheartedly agree. My relationship with God and place in His Kingdom is more valuable than anything else in life. I have bought in! When I consider the sense of purpose, abiding presence of God, suffering at times, joy and love, and so much more which defines the kingdom of God, I feel like Jesus undersold it.
Am I buying into any worldly philosophies that compete or obscure the kingdom of God?
Lord Jesus, thank you for being my Savior and Master. Let’s walk closely today. Teach me new things. Continue to show me Your ways, for You are altogether perfect and You do all things well. I wish to do the same.
