In the movie Knight and Day, Tom Cruise’s character (a highly skilled spy) tells Cameron Diaz’s character that she will likely die without him. Lifting his hand high into the air says “with me” (up here), then lowers it, “without me”. In the same way, God has given us who believe His Spirit. When we live “with Him” we will know God’s will and God’s way. “Without Him” we will struggle, strive and find ourselves lost. When I allow Him to have access to my whole being, I find I have access to the very mind of Christ. Now that’s amazing. Let’s live that way!
The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:15-16 NIV
How am I allowing God to permeate my every thought as I set godly goals for 2026?
God, as this day (and new year) begin- Holy Spirit, I give my energy, thoughts, resources, all to You. Have Your way this day and throughout this year. Give me thoughts beyond my own as You lead and guide, comfort and convict, and move with power in, around, and through my life.
