I’ve seen miracles. Have you? When Jesus began His public ministry He did what nobody else ever had… He touched a dead girl’s hand and brought her back to life, cast out demons that prevented a man from speaking and he spoke again, and made it possible for the blind to see for the first time in their lives. As wonderful as this was there was something even better He intended to do… save souls by forgiving sins (paying the price for them). He is still doing miracles today. Do you need one? Jesus did miracles to confirm His authority for the message He preached!
Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness. Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:35-38 NASB
How could God use my life to continue His ministry in the world today and to proclaim the life-changing message of the gospel to lost souls?
God, as this day begins- Oh I have see the greatest miracle of all over and over again where You draw lost into a personal relationship and transform their lives in love. While I am trying to meet the practical needs of the world, may I remember it is temporary and what You really offer is eternal life. May I hold out those words to a needy world.
