My wife got invited to one of those places that put you in a dark room, salt water, and you relax by floating. I’ve never done it. But, “I float on the prayers of God’s people”. That’s my poetic way of saying that I am so appreciative of those who pray for my well-being and success. It feels like God carries me along, makes my enemies to be at peace, and blesses me undeservedly. My hope is that someone will see and want to know the same God I came to know 45 years ago as a teenager. After all, my life mission is “to help people take their next step of spiritual growth”. For some, its their first step- to understand and value what the Son of God (Jesus) did for them and to commit to follow Him all their days. Jesus said that eternal life is to know God and the Son whom He has sent. There really is nothing better. Its like floating on the prayers of God’s people. In the days of Zechariah the prophet, God promised this life to the Jews. A life so appealing it would inspire others to seek the Lord Almighty.
This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’” Zechariah 8:23 NIV
How is God’s character, love, and goodness reflected in my life? Can anyone see?
God, as this day begins- I am so grateful for your grace, forgiveness, and redemption. I am sublimely happy in the beautiful (not always problem free) life You’ve afforded. I am thinking about my brother Brad and his lovely wife Tessa’s anniversary. Oh I pray its fun-filled and a reminder of Your blessings upon them.
