The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” 1 Kings 18:44
It had not rained for a long time. God withheld the rain as He did His blessings from Israel. Then Elijah defeated the false prophets of Baal in a showdown at Mount Carmel. Then He promised the rain would come! As one man had lifted his hands to God in faithfulness and brought victory… now Elijah’s servant reports the first sign of rain. Isn’t that like God?! One small lifting of our hands to Him, and he brings the rain and blessings of heaven!
How is my faith and trust in God?
Lord I lift my hands to You. Make clouds rise and rain fall.
