Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalms 28:6-7
God can turn the cries of our heart into praise. Something happens when we pray and talk our problems over with God. We begin to see how He is protecting us, ‘my shield’, and that he brings resources we don’t have ‘he helps me’. When we are connected to God in that way, our heart is filled with a joy.
To what degree does my heart trust in God? Over and over, day by day.
God, what a great day to entrust my problems to You. I am ready to address the challenges, knowing You will be doing more than I can even imagine. Let’s go accomplish the big things today that will really matter. What a joy to relax in Northern California and to reconnect with friends.
