The king rejoices in your strength, Lord.
How great is his joy in the victories you give!
You have granted him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips.
You came to greet him with rich blessings and placed a crown of pure gold on his head.

It’s good and right to give God credit for our success. David recognized that the great victories in his life were because of God’s providence and intervention. He rightly, gives God the glory. One of the most amazing things is to live a season of life where our very desires are the same as God’s. To our prayers, He answers… Yes.
Do I rejoice in myself and my accomplishments or in the Lord? Have I realized that God’s provisions and plans for my life are always better and bigger than my own? I am learning.
Oh Jesus, you are my king and my Lord. I thank you for what you have planned this day. You have really have given me my heart’s desires. I look at my wife and kids and family and I am blessed. I think about the ministry that You have called me into… and I find eternal purpose. All of this is more than I would have expected.
