Who Can Move a Heart?

Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites — everyone whose heart God had moved—prepared to go up and build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem. Ezra 1:5

God moves hearts. The proverb says that He moves the heart of the king like watercourse or as easily as moving a sprinkler to a new position on the yard. Ezra saw the heart of Cyrus, the Babylonian king, desire that the temple for the living and true God be built once again in Jerusalem. Then God moved the hearts of the heads of families to do the work.

How is God moving in my heart? Do I spend too much time trying to persuade others, rather than praying and asking God to move their hearts?

God, this morning I ask that you move my heart where it needs to be, on any issue, topic, project, person, whatever. And Lord would you move the hearts of those around me to Your point of view. Give us harmony and unity.
