What to do with my Strength?

If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!
Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.
If you say, “But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?
Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done? Proverbs 24:10-12

Everyone should have a cause. We are made to be heroic. God, who guards our life and sustains it, wants to support us in these endeavors. Whoa to me if I ignore the needs in the world, especially those which God has given me a passion to address.

What is my passion? What injustice do I care enough about to take a risk to address and redeem? One of the areas I care deeply about is people becoming fully engaged in using their God-given talent, energy, and creativity for Jesus’ sake. I also care about the poor. God has given me a love for Hispanic people, particularly in Mexico and Central America. (I guess that’s why I am on a mission trip right now, lol).

Lord, thank you that when I follow You, even into danger, You are with me and care enough to guard my life.
