For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17
These words that Jesus spoke have been repeated to millions of people. The result is that many for the first time understand God’s motivation, plan, and love. I have heard amazing stories of how people responded to this declaration Jesus made about Himself. Nicodemus would likewise respond and become a follower of Christ.
I still remember these words resonating with my mind and heart some thirty years ago. Powerful. Life-changing.
Jesus, thank you for coming and saving us instead of judging us as we deserved. What a difference!
